FontLab allows you to kern between two glyphs, a glyph and a kerning class, a kerning class and a glyph, or between two kerning classes but class kerning has the highest priority. The classes used for kerning are called Kerning classes. The first time you export your font you will be asked to choose an output location. To export an active project to a TTF/OTF or WOFF font select one of the export formats in the Export Font submenu in the File menu. Enter new suffix or select the name of the OpenType feature to pick up the suffix from the list. To rename glyphs by either adding a new suffix or changing the existing glyph name suffix, first select glyph cells. The Font Window displays all the glyphs that are in your font. Open FontLab, and go to File > New Font… or press Cmd N to create a new font. To export, go to File > Export and then choose any options and/or the output directory. There’s also experimental support for TTF format. Glyphs can export to OTF, UFO, and PHF formats. To turn off the first class, so you kern only the first glyph with the second class, press and hold down the Ctrl key.To edit a kerning combination, click on the second class (or glyph) in the pair and then drag it closer or farther to the first class (or glyph). To export a font, use the File > Export Fonts or Export Fonts As commands this will bring up the Export dialog box.
